Role : Technical Artist
For Macy’s annual Flower Show, a series of 10 animated vignettes were created using a hybrid workflow combining Unreal Engine and AI video generation. Each scene began as a dreamlike floral environment built and lit in Unreal, serving as the visual base for AI-driven animations. By exporting multiple unreal scene render passes, the team enabled granular AI control over composition, scale, and mood. The installation was on display for three weeks, drawing heavy foot traffic and showcasing a new direction in experiential content creation.
We used a two-step environment style transfer workflow that first processes depth and lit maps rendered from an Unreal graybox scene with high guidance to lock in accurate structure, then applies a beauty pass (LoRA) with tuned style enhancements and balanced guidance.
We then used an inpainting workflow with the FLUX inpainting model and LoRA, combining LoRA-driven text conditioning with extracted style features to guide generation, and seamlessly inject the refined character back into the environment.

For the animation, we first generated a looping ambient environment animation, then used Kling to create the character animation separately, and finally composited them together in After Effects.
